Not only were they practicing this dangerous act, they also affirmed in the video how they are never going to stop because the land belogns to them so destroying it is not a big deal.
Illegal Mining (Galamsey) is one of the biggest setbacks in Ghana currently. The illegal way miners have chosen to mine have destroyed uncountable rivers and streams in the country.
Due to these, difficulties in getting clean water has become a struggle in the rural areas and is gradually climbing into the urban areas.
Regardless of how detororiating what they are doing is, these Galamsey operators have vowed to keep destroying the land because what they are doing gives them enough money.
They also sent a message to the president and all citizens in the video. Telling them that the land is for them and they choose to do whatever pleases them to it.
