Traffic lights are such that, they assign right-of-way to conflict movements of traffic at an intersection. This is done by permitting conflicting streams of traffic to share the same intersection by means of time separation.
Most countries have employed the use of this machine to make road work easier the more. Ghana is also part of these countries that have employ the service of traffic lights in their system, but because of their poor maintenance culture, most of these traffic lights have just become white elephants.
One of Ghana’s top stand-up comedians and skit makers Waris, has however used his influence to draw the attention of the leaders of the country to how spoilt some traffic lights are.
In his video, he made it clear how some traffic lights were just taking up space in the surroundings.
For him and most importantly the betterment of the country, he suggested that those traffic lights that are not functioning can be replaced with proper ones or if they cannot be replaced, those spoilt ones can be gotten rid of.
