Put God First by Daniel Jeddman

The more we try to do things based on our own knowledge, we fail. Anyway failure is not the end of life. Yes it’s a beautiful example of learning how to be patient, observant and lenient to the words of heaven that gives life, peace and happiness.

Many at times people forget entirely, that there is a higher deity above is all who we owe gratitude, love and honour. And do you even know what makes these tasks simpler? He’s in Us, yes! God lives in us. He’s the Holy Spirit in us now. He’s God in 3 persons. He shares his equality in three forms. Each part completes the other.

Just as he said I’m the beginning in Genesis 1:26

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

This specifically means God created man with two others. Who were they then? According to Theology, The Holy Spirt and Jesus Christ were with God. In fact, they’re all Gods in 3 with specific roles in accordance to the redemption plan of The Trinity. And guess what? When you put God first you’re actually putting 3 people into action for your sake! Trust me, lean not on your own understanding. Walk with God and let him lead. Until you decide to give him the way, he will allow you on which way you want to go; in your own will. But unfortunately, our own will will lead us to damnation and destruction.

The more we trust God, the more we understand how he works.

We have doubted God in countless occasions but it’s time to trust him entirely. In fact amid the current world crises, it’s as though this generation has never encountered such a problem. But, still allow God to make you his own. We are his, yes! But he still needs our approval before execution.

“With God, there’s always an appointed time for things, and when you put Him first, trust in His timing, and keep the faith, miracles happen!” “You can’t believe in your dreams if you don’t believe in the giver of the dreams. And similarly, you can’t believe in your dreams if you don’t believe in the giver of the dreams. In all things, put God first. He is willing to put you ahead for excellence!

If you really want to put God first in your life, be kind to everyone you meet. Hold short grudges and forgive fast. If you must get angry, control yourself when you do it, and get over it. Feed a homeless person. Feed a dozen of em. Take care of your responsibilities. “He that careth not for his household is worse than an infidel, and has denied the faith.” And quit bargaining with God. I knew a guy who fasted for a month hoping God would let him win the Lotto as repayment. In your dreams!

If you want friends, be a friend. Say nice things to people everywhere. Complement, make them smile, offer to help them when they apparently could use some. People can’t be bothered making room for needy, awkward people. I know it is a fault of theirs, but that is the way it is. But people cannot help but like people who like them.

Give out this friendship expecting nothing in return. Keep doing it. Make it your life’s work. “Cast your bread upon the waters and after many days it shall return.”

Oh, and I am now your friend. Congrats. I only stop to tell the truth like this when someone catches my attention.

It is common to hear people say, “God first, family second, work third.” But what does it really mean to put God first? What does it mean to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5)? If we are to actually follow this command, what would our lives look like?Think for a moment about the impossibility of this command and of the standard God sets for us. When we do not follow His commands, it is sin. And, if we’re honest, we know that there has never been a moment when any of us have completely followed this command. As believers, we all love God to some degree, but we never succeed in loving Him with all of our being at every moment, as the command suggests we should. In Jesus’ life, on the other hand, there was never a moment when He was not loving God with all of His being. The only way we can do what He did is to, in some sense, become completely like Him.But being sinners, in and of ourselves, that is impossible. But the good news is that He has made possible the impossible. He has exchanged our sinfulness for His righteousness on the cross, making us completely new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17–21). Now we are able to love as He loves because we are now in Him. Therefore, our only hope to succeed in putting God first is to begin by trusting fully in His promise to cover our sinfulness with His righteous life (1 John 4:10).Knowing that Jesus’ life was perfect in regard to putting God first, we should look at the way He lived His life and imitate Him, attempting to “walk in the manner that He walked” (1 John 2:6). Jesus’ life was characterized by submission to the Father’s will, service to others, and prayer. It is interesting to note that Jesus never pursued worldly ambition in any way and never pursued the glory of this world. He had every gift, talent, and ability to make Him the most famous and wealthiest man who ever lived. But there was only one goal that He considered worthy of His talents—the glory of the Father. This should be an example to believers. The time, resources, energy, gifts, and knowledge of God that we’ve been given should be used not to gain influence, make money, or fuel pride, but instead to multiply glory for the Kingdom (Matthew 25:14–30) and to save the souls of the lost (2 Corinthians 5:20) as we trust in God to protect us and provide for us (Matthew 6:31–33). As an example to those who believe throughout the ages, Jesus sought first the Kingdom of God and laid down His life for His friends (John 10:11; 15:13). His life was a perfect picture of loving God with heart, soul, and strength, putting Him first.

This book is loaded with so many great insights! A great story about a young lady who came from zero to hero because she placed God ahead of all her circumstances. By so doing, she’s impacting not only her life but the world around her.

I’m glad to be used as the rightful instrument to write this book!
